Dr méd. Pascal Mock

Pascal MOCK, MD, MSc, a étudié la médecine à la faculté de médecine de l’Université de Genève (Suisse).

 Après avoir exercé la profession d’obstétricien et de gynécologue à l’hôpital universitaire de Genève (HUG), il a poursuivi sa spécialisation en médecine de la reproduction à Paris (France) à l’hôpital Antoine-Béclère aboutissant à un Master en physiologie de la reproduction à l’Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI, 1998). De retour en Suisse, il a obtenu la certification FMH en médecine de reproduction en 2001.

Le domaine de recherche du Dr Mock est l’implantation embryonnaire. Entre 1999 et 2001, il a été directeur d’un fonds national suisse pour la recherche scientifique, travaillant sur l’activité biologique d’une nouvelle molécule placentaire de la famille de l’insuline (INSL4). Il est l’auteur de plusieurs publications scientifiques de haut niveau sur l’infertilité et l’implantation embryonnaire. Il a donné des conférences à l’Université de Genève.

En 2004 avec Martin Velasco, il a fondé ANECOVA, une société suisse de biotechnologie, afin de développer son invention, un nouveau système de culture in vivo en procréation médicalement assistée (PMA). Sa collaboration avec l’EPFL a été importante durant cette période créative.

En 2009, il a obtenu le premier bébé dans le monde né d'une fécondation in vivo rendue possible en utilisant ce nouveau système à la clinique des Grangettes à Genève.
